As a former YMCA executive and leader, Rich Schoffelman is devoted to the YMCA mission and highly respected in the Y community. Rich has served the YMCA for 37 years, including serving as a consultant to over 40 independent YMCAs throughout the Midwest. He also led a YMCA/USA consulting team serving YMCAs in a six-state region including Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, and North and South Dakota. Rich’s strong leadership development and management skills helped him effectively facilitate the selection, replacement and transition of 38 YMCA CEOs.
Rich, a graduate of the University of Sioux Falls, is a former member of AYP and NAYDO and serves on the Saint Andrews Lutheran Church Foundation Board of Directors as its education committee chair. In addition he has chaired and been involved in numerous church stewardship campaigns.
